Understanding Cumulative GPA
Your cumulative GPA is the weighted average of all your grades across all semesters. It accounts for the number of credits in each course, so a 4-credit A has more impact than a 1-credit A.
The formula is: Cumulative GPA = (Previous QP + New QP) ÷ (Previous Credits + New Credits)
Where Previous QP = Previous GPA × Previous Credits, and New QP = sum of (grade points × credits) for each new course.
